About Sammy

My name is Samuel Oliver Paul Burwood, but my friends call me Sammy. I am an artist and the proud Founder of Sammy’s World of Colour.

I was born with Mosaic Downs Syndrome, so it makes sense I see the world as a wonderful, colourful patten. I love to draw and create artwork using beautiful colours. This makes me feel calm, peaceful and happy! It also seems to bring happiness and joy to other people, so I decided to share my artwork with everyone by creating the SAMBRELLA® – the world’s most colourful umbrellas!

I see life as a vibrant tapestry of colours and I am here to spread that rainbow of joy through my art! Every SAMBRELLA is an invitation to experience this happiness and I want to share my colourful SAMBRELLA with the world to brighten everyone’s day – one SAMBRELLA at a time!
